While coworking with a friend on Wednesday she asked if I had taken the Gallup Strength Finder. She shared her results with me and I proceeded to take the test.  The results were very enlightening.  My top 5 on the CliftonStrengths are:  1. Ideation 2. Activator 3. Intellection 4. Input 5. Individualization I recently took a new position with my business partner to help him and his builder partner host events in spec homes built in McLean, Va. The builder has been producing homes since 2013. With the changing market  he is increasing his offerings and wants to change the way they do things. Which includes bringing me in to help with branding and relationships.  Making the event proposal today helped me enjoy a break from the day job of non-profit fundraising. I’m fresh off my second psychic phone call and a public speaking event.  The psychic told me to see a doctor and to start writing. Either a book, a blog or in a journal. My first ever psychic call told my hearts path is through writing. So here we are. The public speaking event was The Professional Women’s Conference presented to the DECA students from my high school alma mater. My subject: The Power of Connection.  I cried. It was intense. Have my eyes welled up and my voice caught before when speaking? Yes. I have however never dropped tears and had to completely stop talking. It was amazing. The attendees might have been a bit freaked out but talking to them in a place where I felt so lost and so little helped me heal some ongoing issues. I shared openly with them my struggles with learning and how I wished I had known to ask for help.
